Pensión Alicante San Nicolás

I loved the location, in the heart of the old town – sure, that means a bit of noise at night from happy revellers, but I was prepared for this after reading other reviews, and the owners also message out of consideration to make sure guests are aware of the issue prior to arrival. The positive flipside is that it means there's a nice, buzzy atmosphere in the neighbourhood during the day, and there are so many cafés and restaurants to choose from! Also just a short walk to Carrefour Express and the stop for the C6 bus to/from airport. (NB: rooms 9 + 10 look out directly onto the street, with cute little balconies + folding tables, so if noise is an issue for you maybe request a different room, or stay somewhere else!)||The benefits of this lovely Pensión, for me, far outweighed the nocturnal noise. Communication re arrival instructions was excellent. My room was beautifully furnished – I particularly loved the floor tiles, and the coffee mugs! Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The property felt completely secure, and other guests were all friendly and mutually respectful. I also really appreciated the shared kitchen facilities. Overall a great stay!

Ideal para Solo Trip! Excelente servicio del equipo, Caroline acomodó todas mis solicitudes con gran disposición, dio en el clavo en sus recomendaciones y guías, hasta pude utilizar una tarjeta de transporte que había disponible en el momento. La infraestructura es antigua con escaleras y preserva parte de la historia del edificio. El tamaño de la habitación es funcional, cuenta con lo básico y si te falta algo, lo tienen en una cesta cerca del refrigerador (Cremas, bloqueador, toalla de playa, etc). La habitación tiene hervidor, café, té, vasos, secador de pelo, además de Wifi que funcionó bastante bien. Hay un refrigerador para guardar comida, bebestibles, etc. y se puede arrendar sombrilla y silla por un valor razonable. La ubicación buenisima, hay muchos bares y restaurantes muy cerca, no sentí tanto ruido y pude dormir bien. La playa está a menos de 5 minutos, pero por recomendación de Caroline fui en Tranvía hasta la playa de San Juan (Más espaciosa, el agua más clara, y hay chiringuitos o lugares cerca para comer). El desayuno cerca del hotel (menos de 250mts) es un típico desayuno español, preciso (Tostadas o bollería) café y jugo de naranja recien exprimido. Un gran agradecimiento a Caroline y a su equipo!

I’ve stayed in various places around Alicante’s Old Town, but my time at Pensión Alicante San Nicolás was by far the best experience.||The biggest highlight: if you choose an interior room, you’ll actually get a quiet night’s sleep — something that’s hard to find in this area. The bed is comfortable, the room offers enough space, and the air-conditioning is both effective and silent. No outside noise, just peace and rest. Plus, you can make yourself a coffee in the morning right in your room.||They also provide free beach towels, and you can rent a sun chair and umbrella for a small fee. Everyone there is very friendly and truly committed to making your stay enjoyable.||And the best part? All this comes at a very reasonable price. In my opinion, it’s the best value-for-money accommodation in Alicante’s Old Town.

La Pension è un piccolo ed accogliente rifugio nel pieno centro storico, comodissima per raggiungere tutto, non solo la spiaggia. La premura delle signore in reception verso l'ospite è eccezionale. Ho viaggiato da sola e qui mi sono sentita al sicuro, che non è scontato. Raccomando a todos los viajeros romanticos ❤️

The Pension is on a great location. In the middle of the city. In a couple minutes you reach everything you need. The beach, Harbour or Restaurants. The room was clean and the size adequate. Sometimes you can hear noise from outside. But nothing disturbing. It has also a air conditioning. The owner was very friendly. There is a place with different things. Towels (for the beach), some food, sunscreen or a hat. For use. I enjoyed it to stay.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura una notte. Siamo stati molto bene. La stanza era confortevole accogliente e pulita, con un bagno spazioso e curato. In posizione centrale e comodissima ai servizi. Segnalo inoltre la gentilezza e disponibilità della signora Caroline nel risolverci un fastidioso contrattempo avuto con la prenotazione. Consigliatissimo.

He pasado dos noches en esta pensión en habitación individual, estaba todo muy limpio y cómodo y olía muy bien. En la habitación había todo lo necesario para una agradable estancia, secador pelo, hervidor agua con café, te y azúcar, vaso, copa , varias almohadas de distinto grosor, una mesa escritorio, tele.. Tenía ventana q daba a patio interior, la decoración y el baño eran bonitos y se veía moderno. Agradecer a Marta, que estaba en recepción cuando llegue, su atención y ayuda en esos días, hizo q mi estancia fuera 100% maravillosa. También comentar q hay microondas y nevera comunitaria con bandejas para cada habitación, también te pueden facilitar toallas, sombreros de playa.. Sinceramente te sientes en casa, gracias por hacer q las vacaciones sean tan cómodas. Volveré sin dudarlo
