INNSiDE by Meliá Alicante Porta Maris

I booked two connecting rooms at INNSiDE by Meliá Alicante Porta Maris (13–16 August 2025). Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing holiday for my family turned into a very disappointing experience.||On the second day, when we returned from our trip outside, we discovered that one of the connecting rooms was severely flooded due to a ceiling leak and completely unusable. For more than a full day, my family had to squeeze into just half of the space we had paid for, which is unacceptable for a 4-star property.||After the incident, it was the hotel that suggested giving us another room — but this room was located far away from our original one. I explained very clearly that the whole purpose of booking connecting rooms was so that my husband and I could stay next to our two daughters (9 and 14 years old), since they are still young and uncomfortable sleeping apart in a strange place. I also said we could manage with just half of the original room if necessary, but the hotel should at least offer some small compensation as a gesture of goodwill. They refused completely.||Instead, they even tried to pressure us to split the family, sending two of us to the distant "temporary" room. We rejected this, returned the key, and chose to remain in just half of the connecting room.||Only the next day, after realizing we would not accept their temporary room, did the hotel finally offer €400 and a dinner. But by then, the offer had lost all meaning. I also told them that we already had other plans for dinner, and asked them to simply include the dinner value into the €400 refund and pay us properly. Again, they refused.||To this day, the hotel has never directly compensated me. The €248 I eventually received came only from Booking.com as a goodwill gesture, not from the property itself.||What frustrates me most is that I had not even written a negative review yet, because I wanted to give the hotel a chance to resolve this properly and protect their reputation. Yet the hotel rushed to post a "public reply" first, with wording that misleads readers and does not reflect the true situation. This is dishonest and unacceptable.||Overall, the way this incident was handled was extremely poor, unprofessional, and far below the standards of a 4-star hotel. Instead of helping us feel secure, the hotel caused stress and frustration during what should have been a relaxing holiday.||For these reasons, I cannot recommend this hotel, and I hope future guests are aware of what really happened.

The hotel was in a great location, literally minutes from the beach and the promenade. We booked the studio view on the fifth floor with a sea view, it was amazing catching the sunrise. The room was very spacious with comfortable seating. |Sun lounger was always available no matter the time of the day but I think that was partly due to the fact that I prefer being the shade and usually by the afternoon, half the area was in shade. |Buffet breakfast very good from fruit, to cold meats, pastries and hot food.

We had a nice experience with this hotel overall. Great breakfast every morning with an abundance of food selections. Our room was beautiful with a beautiful sea view as well. I loved the fact that I could relax on my balcony and enjoy a cigar. (not like in the US) The staff was nice, friendly and accomodating. Just a couple of personal issues I would like to mention is: While sitting on the room balcony in the evening there is a bright spotlight shinning down on you from the ceiling. This light seems to be connected to a hotel timer as it came on and shut off at the same time every evening. I myself like to sit on the balcony at night without the light shinning on me. Makes for a much more relaxing evening. Also, I would like to see the dinner menu add some gluten free options for those who have no choice but to eat a gluten free diet.

Thank you for a fantastic stay at Innside Melia Alicante. The hotel is clean and has nice big rooms. Breakfast was great and we loved the entertainment at the pool bar. Extra thank you to our favourite bartenders Brandon and Pablo, you made our vacation special! We will come back for sure. Thank you❤️

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The location was perfect, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious and very well organized. Dinner had limited choices, but thanks to Maria we got more options. All the staff were so friendly – especially Michaela and Maria, who went above and beyond. Highly recommended

This hotel is brilliantly located next to the beach, marina and a short walk from the old town. We had a marina view room and it was spacious and clean. The hotel has two pools. The ground floor pool was busy / noisy with families. The 1st floor pool is busy but quieter (fewer children). The bar food and drinks are very good. The communal areas of the hotel are bright, clean and modern. There is an outdoor market that plays music until midnight, a casino and nightclub on the marina. We were disturbed by them (music from the market & people leaving the casino and nightclub in the early hours). I would recommend ear plugs. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Nuestra estancia familiar ha sido de 10, y gran parte de ello se lo debemos al pedazo de equipo humano que hay detrás.||Desde la llegada nos recibió Claudia con una calidez increíble, junto a Roxanna , que nos llenó de planes y recomendaciones tanto para disfrutar del hotel como de Alicante. ¡Qué gusto empezar así las vacaciones!|Gracias a Alexandra, siempre pendiente de que todo estuviera perfecto para nuestra familia y dando su mejor versión en todo momento.||Si vais, no os podéis perder la experiencia en la primera planta: comer o tomar algo allí con Elisa y Jesús es un lujo. Un equipo súper profesional, atentos a cada detalle, y además con unas vistas espectaculares a la playa del Postiguet.||El buffet tiene un alma especial gracias a Pablo, Rocío y Vicky, siempre con una sonrisa, cercanos, empáticos y dispuestos a ayudar en lo que hiciera falta. Se nota cuando la gente disfruta de lo que hace.||Y, como guinda final, no puedo dejar de mencionar a José Luis . Gracias por las charlas, las risas, tu empatía, tu profesionalidad y, sobre todo, esa naturalidad que hace que uno se sienta como en casa. ✨ ||Ubicación de lujo, pero lo que realmente lo convierte en una experiencia inolvidable es su gente. ¡Repetiremos seguro!
